ABOUT DR. JAMISON
I am a psychologist and professor at the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies, where for over a decade I have trained counselors in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of substance use and mental health disorders. I earned my PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and completed my predoctoral internship year at Duke University. I am a licensed psychologist with the state of Minnesota and also maintain a small private practice in Forest Lake, MN. I specialize in general psychology, adolescent addiction, adjustment issues for recovering individuals, social and cultural diversity, and addiction within the LGBTQ+ community. I have given numerous lectures and workshops, including at the American Psychological Association annual conference and the National Conference on Addiction Disorders.
